Learn To Dive
Step 3) Get "Certified" as a PADI Open Water Diver After "Learning to Dive" in the Pool
Jumping in for your certification dives in open water is... The fun part!
You should be comfortable doing so - as long as you were properly trained in the pool. That is why we strongly recommend that you learn to scuba dive (theory & pool part of the course) in Montreal before going on your dive vacation. Learn more about "why", here.
Once you've completed the theory & pool portion of the PADI Open Water Diver course with Total Diving Montreal, you have 2 options to obtain your scuba diver certification card.
In both cases, you need to do a minimum of 4 open water dives on at least 2 different days to complete your PADI Open Water Diver certification.
This is your best option because you will be fully certified before going on a scuba vacation and, therefore, you'll be able to take advantage of your hard-earned vacations - totally! It also gives you the chance to choose the "Total DiverTM" training option instead of simply getting an entry-level PADI Open Water Diver certification card.
Total Diving has access to one of the best dive sites for scuba diving training in Eastern Canada: the Kahnawake Quarry. When/if it's not available, we use various alternative dive sites including Pointe-des-Cascades. Both of these dive sites are located very near Montreal and do not require that you go on a tiring camping trip at the same time as you are learning to dive!
To complete your PADI Open Water Diver certification dives with Total Diving Montreal, simply select a date that suits you and register for your PADI Open Water Diver course certification dives, right here. If you have a tight schedule, you can choose to do your PADI certification dives as a private course.
If you already have a dive trip planned somewhere on this planet, we can give you "PADI referral papers" that will let you complete your course with any other PADI instructor in the world. Talk to your Total Diving scuba diving instructor before the end of your Learn to Dive program in Montreal.
If you need help planning your scuba vacations, we can help!
This option doesn't let you participate in the Total DiverTM scuba training program. However, we hope that you'll come see us after your dive vacation - to show us pictures! And to complete your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course and National Geographic scuba diving explorer course with Total Diving Montreal.
Having your own scuba diving gear will make your dives totally more comfortable, enjoyable and safe. You have only one life to live! Read more...
