Why not put all the chances on your side, with less nitrogen absorption? Plus... You'll look cool ;)
To get your PADI Nitrox Diver card, you only need to do some theory (with books or online), then come see us for hands-on practice with gas analysis. However... If you'd like to do a couple of dives with us to "feel more ready", we can organize that for you. For instance, you could simply book at dive at the quarry on one of our weekly days of diving and rent nitrox cylinders. Voilà!
The price of the course includes the PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty Manual with Dive Computer Simulator (normally approx. $79.95).
You must be a scuba diver! Otherwise, PADI standards require a min age of 12 years old. You want to assess if your child is ready to learn these concepts, though.
We review the theory and practice gas analysis at the main Total Diving dive shop in NDG, where we have a complete nitrox and trimix fill station.
It depends a lot on the quantity of questions you have! But... Normally, we spend an evening at reviewing the theory you have read (in your book or online) and at second evening at doing some hands-on practice at analyzing nitrox gas (which is always required before a nitrox dive).
From the course material you've received during your PADI Open Water Diver course, bring at least:
Then, you have some decisions to make! You choose one of the following:
There's no "diving" required! However... If you wish to do 2 nitrox dives during one of our dive outings (e.g. at the quarry), we'll provide you with 2 nitrox cylinders for one day, no charge - so that you gain confidence and comfort at diving with nitrox.
