PADI Rescue Diver Course & O2

Availability: In stock

Quick description:

Definitely serious FUN!

The Rescue Diver course is designed to develop your skills and theoretical knowledge. The aim is to allow you, within the limits of your ability to intervene safely with a diver in distress.

During the training, serious subjects will be tackled, but the training is fun. Many of our customers consider this course the most fun training they have ever done.

In the Total Diving team, we have a Paramedic and a National Lifeguard that train the instructors… definitely a plus!

Often divers who take this course have an interest in becoming a PADI Divemaster. If that is your case, then tell your instructor at the beginning of your training. He will be able to give you tips and tricks.;-)

• 12 years old Note: 12-14 year old divers may earn Junior Rescue Diver certifications

• PADI (Junior) Adventure Diver certification – must have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive

• PADI Open Water Divers may participate in Knowledge Development and Rescue Exercises in confined water

• EFR® Primary and Secondary Care training within 24 months. Training may be completed along with rescue diver course.

We will have a great fun diving weekend at the Kahnawake Quarry.

Why? For several reasons:

The location is very representative of local diving sites. The environment is very controlled, which gives us the freedom to create the most realistic rescue scenarios possible. Emergency equipment such as defibrillators are available on location. It is a conveniently located site and ideal to build confidence and become comfortable under water. It truly is the perfect location for this course. We can do everything in one location.

There are two possible options for this course. It depends on what season you are doing your training in. During the colder periods, we do the theory at Total Diving on Sherbrooke W. and the pool work at the Aquadôme. With the certification at the Kahnawake quarry over 2 weekends.

During the summer our intensive training is done directly at the Kahnawake quarry, plus one evening to cover the theory. This is our preferred schedule.

You require a pocket mask

By this point, if you are serious about your underwater adventures, you probably have your own gear, which is clearly the most comfortable, safe and fun choice. That's why diving equipment is not included in any of Total Diving's courses. Talk to us about acquiring your equipment to increase your comfort and safety.

If not, please book your rental scuba gear. During your preparation session, the theoretical session and pool sections you should have established the right equipment sizes for the best fit. If this is not the case, you will need to make an extra stop at the Total Diving shop, in advance, to determine and reserve the required rental equipment.

Please note, we do not rent swimsuits, towels, diving fins, booties, masks or snorkels - since these are personal items that you must have. Besides these items can be used for snorkeling and other activities and worth owning.  You might also want to add a wetsuit to this list of "essentials or personal items" – We believe renting a wetsuit, is a lot like borrowing a bathing suit!
